Dear colleagues, dear friends,
It is my great honour and pleasure to invite you to the 17th ALPE ADRIA annual Cardiology meeting which will be held in Dresden, on May 8-9, 2009, kindly supported by the German Cardiac Society, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) and the World Heart Federation (WHR).
Over the last years we have witnessed remarkable advances in the management of cardiovascular diseases. Experimental and clinical research has provided a substantial scientific basis for designing therapy. A large number of innovative therapeutic approaches has been developed and previous concepts have been tested scientifically. - This international meeting is held in an effort to synthesize this knowledge and to identify the key elements for clinical application and future research.
In addition to state-of-the-art presentations delivered by distinguished experts, satellite symposia, poster presentations and free communications there will be ample room for discussion. An informal and friendly atmosphere will facilitate the debate after scientific presentations. - Registration is limited by the room facilities and will be handled on a first come basis. Early registration is therefore recommended.
